Pregnancy & Prenatal Chiropractic Care

At the Vitalpoint Chiropractic office, we understand that the health of a pregnant woman is

important.  A properly functioning nervous system and aligned spine are crucial to the

well-being and health of the mom throughout the pregnancy.

Prenatal chiropractic care helps to support the structural changes that a woman’s body experiences during her pregnancy.

All the changes that happen in a woman’s body during pregnancy are necessary but these changes can accentuate stress onto their spinal system and can result in pain and discomfort.   It is common to experience lower back pain, groin discomfort,

upper back or rib discomfort during the pregnancy. The effects of chiropractic care during the pregnancy extend beyond helping with common back and hip pain.

Webster’s technique is a chiropractic technique that is developed by Larry Webster, D.C.  This technique is a specific chiropractic analysis that is designed to release stress and subluxation on the sacrum. The sacral subluxation may cause surrounding soft tissues to tighten, stressing the mother's pelvis further. Webster's technique works not just on the boney structures but also with the surrounding soft tissues around the pelvis to further support the mother's spine.

Both Dr. Lisa Kim and  Dr. Jenna Kim, are certified in Webster’s technique from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA).
