WHAT TO EXPECT
For our first-time patients for atlas orthogonal chiropractic care or those who have not frequently used chiropractic care in the past, we have posted information about our policies and appointments and how to get a free consultation.
Please begin by contacting Vitalpoint Chiropractic either by email or phone the office to book a consultation. You can book a free consultation online.
Once we confirmed that you had booked your appointment, we will send you the email with the online new patient intake form. Please fill out the form before your visit.
If you would like to have a hard copy, please visit the New Patient Form link, print and fill out the form as much as possible before your appointment. Without your paperwork, we cannot start your appointment.
Since chiropractic care involves a series of visits, with each one building on the ones before, it’s important that our relationship can go the distance. We’ve found that one of the best ways to have successful patient relationships is to explain everything in advance. The more you understand who we are, what we do and why we do it, the better results you’ll enjoy.
When you arrive as a prospective new patient, a chiropractor will examine you to determine your candidacy for care. We determine candidacy by understanding your body, history, symptoms and your health goal from our care. This first consultation appointment allows us to assess your likelihood of success with our chiropractic care and whether other issues might interfere with the treatment result.
After your initial assessment, except in exceptional situations, we will bring you back for an initial new patient assessment and x-rays. This allows us to find the objective findings you are presenting are consistent.
Your Initial Assessment
Plan for an hour for your first visit and please complete your paperwork prior to your visit.
The chiropractor will do a thorough health history and perform full spinal examinations.
At this time, they will evaluate the need for spinal x-rays.
All x-rays are taken in the office. After examination and x-rays, you will make a follow-up appointment
for the report of findings and Dr. Kim will spend time evaluating the case.
Your report of finding
On the report of finding visit, Dr. Kim will review the results of your exam and x-rays.
A report of findings will be given to you detailing your plan of care and explaining how chiropractic can help you.
The chiropractor will give you the care plan for the appropriate frequency of care needed for your case. This visit will last approximately 30 minutes and be followed by your first treatment.
Subsequent Office Visit
Our typical office visit starts with brief paperwork reporting your improvements, or concerns.
Both Dr. Kim, chiropractors in Vancouver, will take a brief history and decide that day’s course of treatment,
and future care. The main factor is how much you have progressed overall.
The subsequent visit will last about 15 minutes.
Your treatments will be geared toward your specific goal (pain relief, correction, or wellness). Most patients choose a correction based plan that is aimed at relieving pain and then correcting the underlying issue so that symptoms do not return in the future. This involves time to restore the dynamics of the spine and body. In turn, you will experience better health.
No matter what your goal is, both Dr. Jenna and Lisa Kim are here for you. Our primary concern is your overall health. We will do our best to give you the recommendations and tools to health restore you to better health. We want to help you reach your health goals.
